Teaching the Field That’s Changing Everything

Unmanned systems are advancing faster than people can learn them, and the path into the field is expensive, scattered, and invisible to most of the people who would thrive in it. UFI exists to change that through education in and around unmanned systems, including how they work, how to operate them, how to build a career around them. Cost of education should not be a barrier to anyone with the interest and aptitude. We fund teaching, because a field this important should not be open only to those who can afford the door.

What We’re Built to Teach. UFI is designed to increase to the full range of the unmanned systems field, including air, ground, maritime, and beyond for learners from elementary school through emerging career professionals. As founding is secured, we launch programs in order of need and readiness. Examples of what we can deliver include:

– K–12 Discovery. Funding robotics and drone courses designed to be brought directly into a school. UFI provides the curriculum, equipment, and instruction, the school provides the classroom and the students.

– Professional Certification. Job-relevant training and credentials for emerging professionals, recent graduates, and career-changers. FAA Part 107 remote pilot certification training is one example; additional domains and certifications follow as these programs grow.

– Applied-Learning Competitions. Team challenges where learners solve real-world problems like defense technology, search and rescue, infrastructure inspection, precision agriculture, all putting their training to work under realistic conditions.

Every program is free to the learner. What we launch first, and how fast we grow, depends on the founding partners and supporters who make the teaching possible.
