Accelerating The UxS Talent pathway

The unmanned systems industry is growing. The talent pipeline isn’t.
UFI bridges that gap by connecting students and emerging professionals
with industry through no-cost certifications, hands-on training, and
competitive validation.

Building the Bridge Between Education and Industry

UFI creates structured pathways for college students and emerging professionals to enter the unmanned systems field while giving companies earlier access to certified, competition-tested talent.

Our Year 1 Programs (Launching Fall 2026)
FAA Part 107 Certification Track
College students earn remote pilot certification through UFI-sponsored training at no cost. We fund exam fees, study materials, and hands-on flight labs.

Mission-Ready UxS Challenge
Industry-sponsored competitions where student teams solve real-world problems like search & rescue, infrastructure inspection, autonomous delivery. Companies judge, scout, and recruit top performers directly.

Students leave with an FAA certification, documented flight hours, and a competition portfolio.

Companies meet certified candidates 6–12 months before traditional campus recruiting would reach them.

Industry Connections

Early Access to Emerging Talent
Partner companies sponsor competitions, judge student projects, and recruit directly from UFI programs. You meet certified, motivated candidates before they reach the general job market, and you helped train them.

Competitive Validation

Our competitions are performance assessments, not résumé builders. Companies see how students handle real mission scenarios, time pressure, and technical challenges. The best performers get internship interviews, not just certificates.
